President: Tegan Welsch-Rainek, Owner of 1911 Steam Train Hotel, Antonito Co. Originally from Milwaukee, WI, moved to Antonito in 2012. She fell in love with the San Luis Valley and met her husband Paul Vigil of 10 years, who was born & raised in the Valley. Throughout the years she has owned & operated multiple business & has investments in the Antonito area. She would love to see the Conejos County community become more united, working together to grow with readily available resources and pro-tect the Valley from losing said resources.
Vice President : Michelle Ditto Owner, Hall’s Way Escape Room Adventures. Michelle retired from a high stress IT career and had created a mobile escape room business just as Covid-19 was starting. So she moved to the SLV from Colorado Springs and bought 40 acres to start building a home. Michelle owned and operated two businesses in the Springs and has over 40 years experience in assisting small businesses to be successful. Specializing in training & support of accounting software support, desktop publishing & graphic design.
Treasure: Mark Sowards A Conejos County native, Mark loves this unique part of Colorado. He has been working as an assistant vice president for Community Banks Colorado for 8 years. In addition to banking, Mark has managed small businesses and understands the complexities that businesses face as a banker. He helps find solutions for their personal and small business financial needs.
Secretary: Micki McConnell Ross Grew up in Nebraska and taught school for 30years before retiring and moving to La Jara 2 years ago to marry Dick Rose Owner of Conejos Propane. She has 2 children, 4 grandchil-dren. She works part-time at Lowe’s Market in Antonito and part time at the family business. And she substitutes teaches during the school year. She attends the United Church of La Jara and is also a member of the La Jara Rotary.
